SecureIT and the White Hat Gala to Benefit Children’s National Health System

The White Hat organization was established in 2004 in the United Kingdom to protect vulnerable children through charitable means. In 2012, Paul Innella, CEO of TDI, and I founded White Hat USA, following this model, with the goal of raising money to help children at risk while providing networking opportunities for members of the cybersecurity community. The organization hosts the annual White Hat Gala event to raise funds which go directly to providing the vital support Children’s National Health System needs to give the best treatment possible to its patients.

Paul and I have participated in the event every year, and continue to serve as co-chairs, responsible for building out the committee and fundraising. SecureIT is a proud sponsor every year.

2017 White Hat Gala

Approximately 300 cybersecurity experts, business leaders, and philanthropists gather for this inspirational evening of networking, dinner, and casino-themed entertainment to benefit Children’s National Health System. This year’s Gala takes place Thursday, October 26. By sponsoring the Gala, organizations contribute the necessary funds to help Children’s National provide every child the care they need – regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

Children’s National was recently named #1 for newborn intensive care in the U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals survey and ranked among the Top 10 children’s hospitals overall. It is also a leading research and patient care facility.
