SecureIT is proud to recognize the exceptional performance of three of our penetration testers—Jarod Jaslow, Seth McCoun, and Dana Petty—who recently competed in Hack The Box Season 9 Capture the Flag (CTF). Their combined efforts placed them in the top 3.85% of more than 9,844 players globally, a remarkable achievement in one of the most competitive and technically demanding CTF environments. As of mid-December 2025, two of our pen testers ranked among the top 60 hackers in the nation and achieved Holo tier status, the highest achievement level in the HTB seasonal competition.
Hack The Box’s seasonal competition challenges participants with a broad spectrum of real-world attack scenarios and hands-on exploitation tasks. Throughout the three-month season, our team demonstrated agility, advanced problem-solving, and persistence as they successfully tackled:
- 2 Insane machines
- 3 Hard machines
- 4 Medium machines
- 4 Easy machines
These machines require mastery across multiple domains—including vulnerability discovery, privilege escalation, enumeration, exploitation, and creative thinking under pressure. Their success reflects both individual expertise and seamless collaboration, showcasing the strength of SecureIT’s offensive security practice.
Beyond the impressive technical accomplishment, this milestone highlights our pentesters’ ongoing commitment to sharpening their skills, engaging in continuous learning, and benchmarking their capabilities against global security talent. The teamwork demonstrated by Seth, Dana, and Jarod embodies the spirit of excellence and curiosity that drives SecureIT’s mission to deliver world-class cybersecurity services.
Please join us in congratulating Seth, Dana, and Jarod for their dedication, expertise, and outstanding representation of SecureIT on the global stage.
